The film follows the story of two unlikely friends, often labeled as "Yedya" (a loving term for simpletons or eccentrics), who embark on a pilgrimage (Jatra) to a famous temple fair. Along the way, they encounter corrupt politicians, greedy landlords, and a village trying to modernize. Through their innocent lens, the film exposes the hypocrisy of society. It is a beautiful blend of Punekar-style satire and heartfelt emotions.
