The first fight ended in a technical draw. Warlord used advanced psychic weaponry to amplify Diana’s own guilt over past failures (the death of Steve Trevor’s alternate self, the destruction of an Amazon outpost, etc.). She defeated his physical form, but he escaped into a pocket dimension, vowing to return with a "new understanding" of her weaknesses. Fans were left hanging—until now.
